How much will my project cost?

This depends on a variety of factors, including project scope, turnaround time, and complexity. The larger and more complex your project is, the longer it will take to build it, resulting in higher total costs.

Turnaround time plays a role as well; the sooner you need your project, the more effort will have to be put into it. I'll have to prioritize your project, and that'll introduce some additional fees.

Since people usually don't like vague non-answers, I'll put it like this: If your budget is not at least in the ballpark of $2,000, you probably don't need a custom-built website and should opt for a cheaper alternative.

How does invoicing/billing work?

I'm quite flexible when it comes to billing and invoicing. I support a large array of payment methods, including wire transfer, PayPal, debit and credit card payments, and Wise.

You can pay everything upfront, or opt for 50% upfront, and 50% once certain milestones have been reached. Once trust has been built, I offer more lenient payment terms for long-term customers.

As soon as you make a payment, a digital receipt is generated and sent out to you.

How do you manage projects?

For managing projects, I rely on Bonsai. It allows me to safely share important documents with you, and it provides an easy way for you to see what tasks I'm currently working on and how much time I've spent on each of them.

You get access to your personal client portal, which acts as your one-stop-shop for all your past and ongoing projects.

Which CMS are you using?

Strapi is my CMS of choice. A lot of clients are used to Wordpress, so I chose a CMS that is incredibly intuitive and straightforward for clients to work with.

It offers a wide range of third-party extensions, which can be carefully curated into a collection of powerful add-ons that make your next CMS-powered project as simple or complex as needed.

On top of all that, Strapi is not as popular and widespread as Wordpress, which makes it far less likely to become a target of malicious attacks. Just like Wordpress, it is actively maintained, but it is also able to leverage the advantages that TypeScript has to offer over PHP.

What the hell do I even need?

That's a good question, and certainly one that can't be answered without looking at your specific case in detail.

You might be well served with a portfolio website showing off some of the handcrafted products that you produce all by yourself, or you're in the market for a full-blown e-commerce store trying to acquire customers from all over the world.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to creating websites and web applications, but I'm sure a free meeting with me can clear things up!
